Check events related to M-Files in the Windows event log on a regular footing for any issues, particularly ones pertaining to backups. You might want to also consider using a PowerShell script or a third-political party application for sending electronic mail notifications when same events occur.

  1. Press ⊞ Win + R on the Yard-Files server computer.

    Result:The Run dialog is opened.

  2. In the Open text field, blazon in eventvwr and click OK.

    Result:Event Viewer is opened.

  3. Expand the Windows Logs node.
  4. Select the Awarding node.

    Result:The application log is displayed:

  5. Click Filter Electric current Log... on the Actions pane in the Awarding section to list only the entries that are related to K-Files.

Result:The Filter Current Log dialog is opened.

  6. In the Event sources drib-down card, select all the applications related to 1000-Files, such equally Yard-Files, M-Files Compliance Kit, and MFClient.
  7. Click OK to shut the Filter Current Log dialog.
The application event log should now list only the entries that are related to Yard-Files.

Notation: If the disk space on the server computer allows, nosotros recommend expanding the maximum log size of the Application log to, for instance, 200,000 KB to encompass more events. In some mistake cases, a large number of events may be recorded to the log, thus filling the default log size of about 20 MB very chop-chop. This may make information technology impossible to track down the origin of the issue. You can change the log size by right-clicking the Application node in the left-side tree view and then selecting Properties from the context menu. Expanding the log size of the customer computers is rarely needed, but may be of use in some cases.
